REDD is honored present The Passion to Protect: an Anti-Poaching mission in Zimbabwe by Owen Blease.

PROJECT BACKGROUND:

My name is Owen Blease and I am from the small town of Bowdoinham, Maine. On March 1st, 2015, I will be traveling to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe to assist the International Anti-Poaching Foundation and Nakavango Conservation Center in ecosystem preservation, park management and wildlife protection efforts.

Throughout my life, I have been forcefully drawn to the natural world. Attracted by an immeasurable love for adventure, my pursuit to understand, preserve and protect the magnificent biodiversity of our planet, is both a long-term goal and personal obligation. As a college student studying environmental science, the opportunity to protect critically endangered species including the black rhino would be one in a lifetime and I need your help to make it happen. Your generous contributions will be used exclusively to cover the cost of airfare, visas, permits and basic living during my time in Victoria Falls. Throughout our lives, we are granted the choice to either face challenges or let opportunities pass us by.
